# Chili powder graded by colour, with no training data

Nara uses colour detection to grade chili powder into quality levels automatically. It replaces subjective visual judgement with a consistent, recorded measurement.

- Customer: A food producer
- Sector: Food processing
- Deployment: On-premise camera station
- Status: Completed

## Solution

A camera station captures each sample, and Nara’s colour detection and thresholds assign the quality grade, logged and shown on a dashboard. Not every QC task needs deep learning: Nara’s classic vision tools solve many problems quickly, with no training data.

## How it works

- **Input:** Camera station
- **Process:** Colour detection and thresholds
- **Action:** Quality grade, logged and shown on the dashboard

## Results

- Consistent, recorded grading instead of subjective judgement
- No training data needed

## Nabrio components

- Camera nodes
- Colour detection and thresholds
