# Assembly and part verification with AI vision

Nara checks each assembly at the station: every part, screw, clip and label is detected and compared with the expected layout for that product variant. The result is signalled to the line and logged for each unit.

- Sectors: [Manufacturing](https://nabrio.com/industries/manufacturing.md)
- What it takes: Trained on your items. We train a model on your own products or defects in Reva, and Nara runs it on the line.
- Products: [Nara](https://nabrio.com/nara.md), [Reva](https://nabrio.com/reva.md)

## The problem

Wrong, missing or misplaced parts are found late, which causes rework and recalls.

## How it works

- **Input:** Camera at the assembly station
- **Process:** Detect each part and check its type and position against the expected layout for the variant
- **Action:** Pass or fail to the line and tower light, logged per unit

A detection model trained in Reva recognises the parts. Nara crops the regions of interest, checks which parts are present and where, and compares them with the expected values for the product variant. The pass/fail result goes to the line over Modbus and to a tower light, and each unit’s result is stored for traceability.

## What you need

- A camera with a fixed view of the assembly station
- Images of correct and incorrect assemblies to train a model in Reva
- A line controller or PLC reachable over Modbus

## Nara building blocks

- Camera nodes
- Detection model (Reva)
- Crop and zone checks
- Compare to expected values
- Modbus output
- Tower light
- Database table

## What it improves

- Assembly errors
- Rework cost
- Traceability per unit

## Frequently asked questions

### Can it handle several product variants?

Yes. The expected layout is stored per variant, and each unit is checked against the layout for the variant being built.

### Does it need an internet connection?

No. Nara runs on your own hardware on the local network, and images and results stay on-site. Eligible tiers also support offline licensing locked to the hardware.
