Connect Nara to cameras, machines and systems

Nara connects to devices, systems and services through standard protocols and ready-made nodes, so a detection can become a PLC signal, a tower light, a robot move, a message or a database record.

  1. 01

    Cameras

IP cameras (RTSP), Basler industrial cameras (GigE / USB3), USB webcams, video and image files

IP camera nodes read RTSP streams, including multi-camera nodes that handle many streams in one flow. Basler nodes connect industrial cameras for inspection stations.

  2. 02

    Industrial protocols

    Modbus (read/write), TCP/IP

Read and write PLC registers and I/O modules over Modbus, and talk to controllers over TCP/IP, so detections turn into reject signals, machine stops and robot moves.

  3. 03

    IoT and web

MQTT, HTTP (client requests and webhook triggers), WebSocket

Publish results to an MQTT broker, call any HTTP API, start flows from webhooks, and exchange messages over WebSocket.

  4. 04

    Devices

PLCs, motor and robot controllers, AMRs, and I/O modules through Modbus or TCP/IP; Patlite LA6 PoE and Primus tower lights

Built-in nodes drive Patlite LA6 PoE and Primus tower lights. Robot, AMR and industrial camera connectivity are Professional Nodes, available according to your tier.

  5. 05

    Notifications

Email, Microsoft Teams Workflows, Telegram bot

Send alerts with images to email, Microsoft Teams channels and Telegram chats.

  6. 06

    Data

Built-in database tables (SQLite), image and text export, and an HTTP API for external systems

Store results in Nara’s built-in database tables and export images and text. Other systems read and control Nara through its HTTP API with scoped API keys.

  7. 07

    Works with

n8n, Home Assistant, Power Automate, MES/SCADA, and dashboards such as Grafana, through HTTP, webhooks or MQTT

These platforms connect through HTTP, webhooks or MQTT rather than dedicated nodes. A common pattern: Nara handles the physical side, and n8n or Power Automate updates the business systems.

FAQ

Integration questions

Does Nara connect to SQL databases?

Nara has built-in SQLite database tables. Other systems, including external databases, connect through HTTP or MQTT.

Does Nara work with Home Assistant and Power Automate?

Yes, through HTTP, webhooks or MQTT. There are no dedicated nodes for them yet.
